Masterclass Mentor Africa is committed to creating and maintaining a safe environment for all children and young people who participate in our programs. We recognize our responsibility to protect children from harm and to promote their welfare.

All staff and volunteers are required to report any safeguarding concerns immediately.
We maintain clear lines of accountability for safeguarding at all organizational levels.
All safeguarding concerns must be reported immediately to the designated safeguarding officer.
All reports are handled with strict confidentiality, while ensuring appropriate action is taken.
Serious concerns are immediately reported to relevant Kenyan authorities including:
All safeguarding incidents and actions are documented and stored securely for 7 years.
All staff and volunteers undergo thorough background checks including police clearance certificates.
Mandatory safeguarding training for all personnel before engaging with children.
Strict code of conduct governing interactions with children and young people.
All activities are adequately supervised with appropriate adult-to-child ratios.
Protection for individuals who report safeguarding concerns in good faith.
All venues are assessed for safety and suitability before program activities.
Safe transportation arrangements with licensed operators and appropriate supervision.
First aid trained staff and access to medical facilities for all programs.
Secure online platforms and guidelines for digital interactions with participants.
Clear emergency procedures and contact protocols for all program locations.
